How CCMC is Keeping Patients Safe During COVID-19

CCMC has a long-standing commitment to the health care needs of our communities. During this global COVID-19 pandemic, it is our commitment to keeping our patients safe by giving providing a safe, reliable place to receive care.

Our goal is always to promote and protect the health and well-being of our patients in South and Central Florida. During the COVID-19  pandemic, we have had to make changes to the way we do things. But the compassion and quality of our care remain the same. Read more below to learn about what CCMC is doing to keep our patients safe.

  1. Telehealth: For some of our patients, safety means meeting with their provider via telehealth. Our commitment to you is to provide the care you need, when you need it, as safely and conveniently as possible. Call us to learn more about how we can help you get the type of care you need.
  2. Preventive Care.
    • Protect Yourself – Keep yourself healthy through frequent hand washing, eating nutritious food and exercising. By following these steps, not only will you gain the benefit of fighting off COVID-19, protecting yourself helps to manage chronic illnesses you may suffer from too. Be sure to consult your Primary Care Physicians and Specialists to develop a plan that is best for you.
    • Stay Connected. Remain socially safe but don’t let fear cripple you. The COVID-19 pandemic challenges us to be creative in how we maintain our social connections, and manage our mental and physical health.
    • Vaccination. For people 65 years and older, influenza and COVID-19 vaccines are especially important. Seniors are often at higher risk of developing serious complications, especially those who have underlying health conditions or are immunocompromised. The best way for the older population to protect themselves this holiday and winter season is with a vaccine. The CDC recommends that while viruses are spreading, vaccinations should continue.
    • Know the symptoms. If you have symptoms, even if mild, you should consult with your physician. Although you may be vaccinated or had COVID-19 in the past, you should still get tested. Check out the CDC’s Coronavirus Self-Checker for an interactive symptom checker.
    • Education – Know the symptoms of COVID-19. If you have symptoms, even if mild, you should get tested. Even if you are vaccinated or had COVID-19 in the past, get tested.
  3. Next Steps: You can be confident that you will receive safe, high-quality, compassionate care from the extraordinary health care teams CCMC. Every member of our team is committed to keeping our patients, staff and community safe.
